We’re hiring! PM to apply. Reef Encounters are We’re hiring! PM to apply. Reef Encounters are seeking a deckhand for the 24/25 season, with a start date set for October 1st. Whilst a love of fishing and a passion for the ocean are great assets, we’re primarily on the hunt for someone with an easy going personality who will build an excellent rapport with all our customers. You’ll need the ability to provide a great all round experience, have a willingness to learn, keen attention to detail, and an optimistic approach to your work. In return, we’ll provide a great working environment, competitive pay rates, and all the training necessary to get your oceanic skills up to date! This job presents experiences like no other - living and working on the ocean amongst a great community of people, you are bound to have a memorable journey as a part of our team! The details: - Casual position incl. weekends - Seasonal (Oct. - June) Must have or be willing to obtain: - Boat license - Shipboard Safety Skillset A training period will take place for the successful candidate, assisted by previous deckhands.

Oscar, AKA “Peddles”, has been a valued member of the Reef Encounters team this fishing season and will be remembered for his very cheerful presence! All customers who experienced his positive and very helpful nature will agree he has contributed to some very memorable days on the water along with his signature Spotify playlist that always received the tick of approval from all! Onwards to pursue his career as a tradesman leaving the bar set high for the next person to take his place! Finally 🙌 It’s no secret that it’s been a t Finally 🙌 It’s no secret that it’s been a tough season on bluefin in our area this year but we have finally broken the seal! Looking forward to more of this in the coming months so we have our fingers crossed for more tuna success. What a ripping session with a return crew that enjoyed an epic freeding frenzy at the back of the boat. Some beautiful specimens were taken and iced down for a 1st class feed!
