OUR CHARTERS

With multiple tour offerings, we can meet the needs of just about everyone! Put together your own group of up to 12 mates for a private charter experience, or join a mixed group and meet some friendly new faces.

THE EXPERIENCE

On board all of our charters, you can expect a high quality experience. You'll get to keep your own catch, with fish gutted and gilled onboard free of charge. There's no need to bring bait, tackle or rods, unless of course you'd like to give your own gear a run. Extras, such as fish filleting and catering services are available upon request.

What we provide

We will provide you with the vast majority of items you'll need on the day. This includes all tackle, rods, and equipment required to catch a wide array of species. We also provide all bait, as well as ice, to keep your catch chilled for the duration of the charter. All your fish will be gutted and gilled onboard free of charge before the end of the day.

If you'd like an all-inclusive package, we can also provide catering, fish filleting, and accommodation upon request.

What to bring

You'll need to bring a couple items with you on the day to get the most out of a charter with us. This includes water, lunch, and snacks in a small esky or cooler bag, and comfortable clothing; including a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and wet weather jacket.

You'll also need to bring some items with you to Pondalowie Bay, and keep these in your car until the charter concludes. You'll need a filleting knife to clean your fish at the end of the day, and a large esky filled with ice for transporting your catch.

To keep in mind

Whilst we cater to a wide range of abilities, it is imperative that you have a certain level of mobility to safely enjoy a charter with us. Clients are required to board our tender boat from the beach, which includes removing your shoes, stepping into the water, and maneuvering yourself into the boat. At times, some swell may be present as you board.

After a short steam into Pondalowie Bay you will then access the Vixen from the tender via a boarding platform and steps.

STANDARD FULL DAY CHARTER 7:30am - 4pm | $280pp

Experience some of the most sensational deep, off-shore reef & blue water game fishing South Australia has to offer! Our Full Day Deep Sea Fishing Charter boasts up to 8.5 hours on the water, with access to some of South Australia's best deep sea fishing spots. With an experienced skipper and deckhand onboard, this is our recommended day for those who have never been on a charter before, but is also perfect for the seasoned fisherman.

With a mutitude of hot spots at our fingertips, there is an extensive variety of fish to target and the daily catch may consist of snapper, nannygai, swallowtail, King George whiting, sharks, blue morwong, blue groper, trevally, harlequin and more.

12+ years is recommended. If you'd like to bring children younger than 12 years, please call us prior to booking so we can ensure the tour will be suitable for your child.

EXTENDED FULL DAY CHARTER 6:30am - 6pm | $380pp

Hoping to target a wider variety of species? Keen to be on the water for as long as possible? Then our Extended Full Day Charter is for you. With almost 12 hours at sea, the opportunities are endless. Weather permitting, our aim is to take you to more remote locations such as Wedge Island, Neptune Island, Kangaroo Island and beyond.

An extended day on the water allows us to cater for those who seek a more tailored fishing experience. Jig for sports fish, troll for tuna, and still have time to fish the bottom for some prime table species as well.

Highly reccommended for those hoping to chase tuna, samsonfish or kingfish, or if you're simply after an extended day out on the water.

Please note, tuna season runs approximately from Dec - June.

OVERNIGHT LIVE-ABOARD 2 - 3 Days | Price on Application

Due to the impacts of Covid-19, our overnight charters have been on a temporary hiatus. Rest assured, with restrictions all but gone, we're working hard to bring this immensely popular tour offering back bigger and better than ever. Join our waitlist to be the first to know once a limited range of dates are released.

Please note, although our vessel is designed for live-aboard activities, understand that this is by no means luxury accommodation. This trip is designed for hardcore fisherman. Not suitable for those under 16 years.

Customised Options

We're more than happy to accommodate fully customised experiences for those wishing to organise a private event. Corporate groups are welcome to come and experience an offshore fishing trip as part of a corporate retreat or team building activity, with many other landbased activities also available locally.

Additionally, we can provide commercial marine charter services such as wildlife monitoring services, island infrastructure surveys, island transfers to Althorpe, Wedge and Neptune Islands and ocean monitoring equipment deployments.
